#TaurusWorldStuntAwards

The Taurus World Stunt Awards is an Award Show honoring stunt men and women for our blood sweat and tears in the movies. Its our version of the Oscars.

But more importantly what a lot of people don’t know is that The Foundation was started by  Red Bull Energy Drink CEO, Dietrich Mateschitz. It provides support for the international stunt community and financial assistance to members of the Taurus World Stunt Awards Academy, who experience a debilitating stunt-related injury. Financial grants are considered on merit in the event of a stunt related temporary, partial or permanent disability. Myself and Zoe Bell were nominated for Kill Bill in 2004 for “Best Fight” and Best Overall stunt by a Woman.  We didn’t win that year. But it was an honor to be nominated!

Myself and Heather Vandrell were nominated for Obsessed  in the categories of “Best Fight” and again “Best Overall Stunt By A Woman” in 2010. We won the Best Over All Stunt By A Woman”.

Angela Meryl, a former model and make-up artist from Willingboro, New Jersey, received her first stunt gig alongside actor Sinbad, in the movie First Kidd. The game changer occurred when she came crashing through a glass table in the opening scene of Kill Bill Volume I, while doubling Vivica A. Fox. That performance garnered industry wide recognition and applause from peers in the business and fans to this day of the Quentin Tarantino directed cult flick hit.
